His tone was gentle, but there was a sadistic smirk playing around his mouth. “What’s wrong with Daddy’s little baby?”Alice continued to cry, not with the dignified, respectable tears of an adult woman, but with the heaving sobs and uncontrollable wails of a two-year-old.She hadn’t cried when her rights were taken away. Some of her friends had, when it was made official that women were nothing but overgrown little girls. But Alice had been determined not to prove them right by bursting into tears like some pathetic baby-woman, not even when her boyfriend pulled her over his lap for a spanking.She hadn’t cried after her first trip to the Regression Clinic, where she’d been heavily sedated, and had woken up to find that her voice was no longer strong and confident, but high-pitched and breathy and stupid. She spoke with a ridiculous lisp, and she couldn’t stop herself from pausing for half a second after every syllable, like she’d only just learned how to talk. Even her vocabulary had been altered. It was as though every word she spoke had to go through some childish, little-girly filter before coming out. But even with her childish voice, even unable to call her boyfriend anything other than “Daddy”, she wouldn’t allow him the pleasure of seeing her break down into tears.She hadn’t cried when she’d lost her coordination either. Another trip to the Clinic, and her sense of balance had been disturbed, forcing her to toddle instead of walk. It made her blush with shame every time Daddy took her out in public, walking smoothly beside her while she stomped about with the awkward, unsteady gait of a toddler. Not only that, her fine motor control had been dramatically reduced. Her hands had become so feeble and uncoordinated that she couldn’t even feed herself without making a mess. She ended every mealtime looking like a mucky baby in her highchair, her face and bib covered in food, waiting for her Daddy to come and clean her up. But even with chocolate smeared around her lips or spaghetti in her hair, waddling around like a baby taking her first steps, she wouldn’t allow herself to lose what little dignity she had left by blubbering like an infant.She hadn’t even cried when her potty training had been taken away. A little bit of surgery at the Clinic, and Alice had been rendered completely and permanently incontinent, much to her dismay. There was nothing more degrading than wetting and messing herself helplessly, unable to control even her most basic bodily functions, knowing she would have to wear thick, humiliating nappies for the rest of her life. She’d come close to falling apart when she’d pottied in her pants for the first time, feeling herself squatting down uncontrollably and filling her nappy like a giant baby. But even with a disgusting dirty diaper drooping between her legs, Alice hadn’t let herself cry.These days, however, she cried over everything – a wet nappy, a smack on her bottom, a telling-off from a grown-up. She didn’t know how they’d done it. Maybe they’d done something to her hormones. Maybe they’d filled her mind with subliminal messages. All Alice knew was this: she now had absolutely no control over her emotions at all.Sitting on the floor of her nursery, her nappy full to the brim with pee, and with a disgusting mess in the back, she couldn’t stop herself from bawling like a baby. She couldn’t take it anymore! She didn’t want to sound like a stupid little girl! She didn’t want to toddle everywhere and make a mess whenever she tried to feed herself! She didn’t want to go to the toilet in her pants!“I don’ wan-na be a bay-be!” Alice sobbed in her stupid toddler voice. “Pwease Da-ddy! I wan-na be a big gwown-up giwl who goes poo-poo on da po-tty!”“Awww, does the little girl want to be a grown-up again?” he cooed, looking down at her with a satisfied smile. Then he wrinkled his nose, walked behind her, and pulled out the back of her nappy to peek inside. “Uh-oh, Daddy’s figured out what the problem is! I think little baby Alice is just upset because she’s got a stinky bum-bum! Isn’t that right, little miss potty pants?
