Six liters of gorse flowers in a fermentation bucket, on their way to becoming wine. These flowers smell strongly of coconut & I’ve read that this persists in the wine, so that should be interesting. Gorse is generally viewed as a nuisance on farms & the farmers around here usually burn it in the spring and early fall, so I don’t think these flowers will be missed. There are still tons left for our insect friends to enjoy over the summer. -- source link
