Shopping in 1964. I remember Mom pushing the button and annoying the butcher to trim off fat and grind meat. I remember her making sure she got her Blue Chip Stamps, we were poor, and she sold the books to supplement our income. We cut a lot of corners, like saving bacon grease for butter, peeling off corn husks to reduce weight when rung up. Oh, and the handfuls of coupons, every Nickle you could save had value.
