Jacquard fabric paint + a few different brands of yellow acrylic (non fabric) paint. I mixed the acrylic with the fabric paint to ensure that the paint would crack when it dried, because i needed the surface to look aged. i’m not sure what the problem is that you’re describing, since a good fabric paint will usually go all the way through to the other side of thin fabric whether you’re pouncing it on or screenprinting it. which is why you never paint any fabric without having a sheet of cardboard or something on the other side. so when i was painting the front of the vault suit, there was cardboard inside the suit to prevent the paint from bleeding onto the back of the suit, and vice versa -- source link
