But as a glasses wearer, I think Fatsexybitch is onto something with #1. …Guys. Masks aren’t really for protecting you, they’re for protecting everyone else from you in case you have covid. When did we all forget that? That won’t really change anything. But the not touching face thing is definitely bullshit, I think we probably touch our faces more because we have to push up our glasses all the time.Here’s my theory: Wearing a mask with glasses fucking sucks. Okay? The mask gets in the way of where your glasses normally sit, so it always feels kinda weird, and if you don’t put the mask on absolutely perfectly and have all the stars align then your glasses will fog up in five seconds and blind you. And if it’s even slightly chilly out, your glasses will fog up and blind you anyways. But if you go places, you have to wear a mask unless you want to be douchebag of the year, so that makes doing literally anything extremely difficult and annoying because you’ll be uncomfortable and probably blind the whole time.So when going out in a mask is a terrible experience, but you’re not a soulless husk summoned from the pits of hell to spread pestilence, that means doing literally anything fucking sucks. So we don’t go out unless we absolutely have to. and we keep things quick when we do. This means people with glasses get exposed less, and therefor less of us get sick.Basically I think we’ve just got extra motivation to avoid contact with others, because wearing a mask with glasses is the actual worst. -- source link
