drrockclub:Krill-like fossil.I came across this krill/shrimp-like fossil while investigating recrystallized limestone (it is quite amazing that it is still preserved!). Fossil identification is not my specialty so I can’t tell what species this is, but I thought I share this fossil image of this remarkable little creature. Fossil is surrounded by coarse grained calcite.Image was taken with petrographic microscope. -- source link
