The central ale figure is a water deity holding a flowing vase to his chest (possibly Inshushinak or Napirisha). He is flanked by two goddesses holding their hands up in supplication. They all wear horned crowns. There is a decorative tube at the back of the piece that may have been used to hold an actual feather plume. It would have been worn by a high rank warrior on special occasions rather than in battle. (Source: The Metropolitan Museum) -- source link
