faithandfearcollide:I loved this moment. The way Regina flinched and swallowed as Rumple used magic on Henry. Like she absolutely hated that anyone was using magic on her son and it was killing her to see it. Even if it was to help him. You can tell that this moment played on her past trauma with her mother and how her mother used magic on her.Lana Parrilla just played this perfectly. I love all the little subtle acting choices she makes to call back to Regina’s past, hidden fears, worries, etc. I wish I could read the original scripts to each episode cause I have a feeling that we would find that a lot of moments aren’t in the script and are in fact a part of Lana’s own acting choices. At least 50% of Regina’s characterization stems from all the little things Lana adds in her acting. She really embodies Regina fully and I adore that about her. -- source link
