He was born prematurely and the oxygen in his incubator made his retinas detach, causing him to lose his sight. He was signed to the Motown record label at just 11, and has continued to sing, write, and produce, collecting over 25 Grammy awards (as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award), and is also an activist who was named a United Nations Messenger of Peace. He’s a member of both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame who’s worked with everyone from Smokey Robinson to Paul McCartney, and despite decades of evidence, there persists a conspiracy theory that… Stevie Wonder isn’t blind.As far as conspiracy theories go, this one is relatively benign and (hopefully) tongue-in-cheek - that said, we all thought the flat earth theory was good for a larf and look what happened with that shit.
