wizard-weekly:The Three-Country Cairn - more commonly known as Treriksröset in Swedish, Treriksrøysa in Norwegian, and Kolmen valtakunnan rajapyykki in Finnish - is the point at which the international borders of Sweden, Norway and Finland meet. It is an example of a geographical feature known as a tripoint. It’s also the ever-so-secretive location of the Durmstrang institute for magical learning. A place dedicated to the cold, harsh and violent magic of Scandinavia or, as some misguided foreigners have taken to call it, dark magic. Durmstrang is the only wizarding school left which still teaches its students blót magic (a form of ritualistic magic stemming from pagan sacrifices to the Norse gods and the spirits of the land), necromancy and advanced hexing. -- source link
