As I was trawling the animation archives, I was surprised to find a Little Annie Fanny animation cel (image 1).In case you don’t know, Little Annie Fanny was a very raunchy comic that appeared in Playboy magazine from the 1960s to the 1980s, by comics giants Harvey Kurtzman and Will Elder. It was not only lavishly drawn, but, when you see it now, it’s also an incredibly vivid reflection of its era: we see The Beatles, Kennedy, Malcolm X, James Bond, the rise of feminism, yoga, disco, bodybuilding, Star Wars, Hulk Hogan, Indiana Jones, computers, and whatever else was current.
