Cap has an equally emotional reason that he is trying to protect and preserve Bucky, which is the last shred of his humanity from the past, the last shred of his sense of self and his home. The character is a pure victim. Joe Russo.I knew there had to be a huge difference between the writers and directors re: Bucky. Now that there’s some solid proof fans aren’t making Bucky out to be a more tragic character than the film intended (which is something I’ve seen implied with the markus and mcfeely interview making the rounds), I’m really curious what changes went on with that script in production to get from “Bucky gets put into cryo as punishment” to what actually happens in the movie. Like, was it just down to how lines were read and scenes were framed, or did they make major dialogue changes? -- source link
