theawkwardterrier:foolmeetwice:veronicamarsfanblog:i hate hate hate that Aaron tried to turn the abuse around and make it Logan’s fault. like. just. no. my hate for Aaron is so strong. But that’s what abusers do. They never take responsibility for the abuse. It is always the fault of their target no matter how old, how innocent, and how random the offense. In some cases, the abuser will use the smallest infraction as an excuse for discipline (code word abuse) like the milkshake.I grew up with abusers in my family. I watched this play out. I’ve watched almost these exact scenes take place. Not only are abusers vicious and cruel but they are master manipulators. So you shouldn’t be surprised that a narcissist like Aaron would do this. This is classic narcissistic abuser behavior. Nothing was ever nor will ever be his fault. The only thing that really surprised me about Aaron was when he beat up the abusive boyfriend but then it was probably Alpha male posturing (no one hurts my family but me) more than any real concern. I honestly think that this scene is a tremendous example of Logan’s strength. We know that he has self-worth and abandonment issues, that he is accustomed to and accepting of Aaron’s violence toward him, but he fights Aaron’s perception of it. When everyone around him sees Aaron as a good guy, it would be so easy for him to be led astray by Aaron’s explanations and excuses. But Logan refuses to be brainwashed into Aaron’s twisted memory of his life, and that takes a lot of power. -- source link
