Starting with the thumbnails, to variants of the thumbnails, before choosing three final thumbnails. Then a layout sketch, the final layout sketch, and the sketch transferred on to the board all nice and lined. I did some quick studies so I knew what mediums to use and finally the final illustration using pencils: 2B, 4B and 6B, a black colored pencil and ink.I chose an article about a very smart and hilarious girl by the name of Emily Graslie. She is widely known on Youtube: thebrainscoop. I highly recommend watching her channel if you are into science and dissections and such. Everything entwined in her hair is items she either talks about, was in contact with or handles on her show. -- source link
