Traditional Japanese dry landscape gardens appear fixed and unchanging. The pattern is the same in many now as it was long ago. In fact the gardens are remade each day, the gravel is cleaned and the pattern raked. What seems permanent is actually ephemeral. In this new series of work, I have reversed this concept.
