Character DrawcemberWEEK ONE (Dec 1-7)Sketch……an old character you don’t use anymore, and then redesign them.I was figuring I could just have the revamped version of Ruby, but I figured a small section of an old image as comparison was needed.Also this gave me a chance to use Ruby as a test character to figure out what other types of taguel looked like, specifically the bird kind that is mentioned in Awakening by Panne.More under the cut about possible bird taguels. Also not that nsfw but just a warning for those that are particularly picky about that.Since the only examples available visibly are Panne and Yarne, and based upon how they appear in the games, I figured that taguel take step towards having more animal like traits in comparison to the laguz.They are human in appearance when untransformed, but also have feathers that cover certain sections of body. Because of their clothing, most of their feathers in the front are lost from view. They also can have claws on their hands and feet where the nails are, depending upon the individual personal care. And like any other taguel, they use stones to transform.Unlike the bird tribes of laguz, their taguel counterparts have a tail and most of their back side is covered in feathers, from the hair line of the back of the neck down to where their tail begins.These taguel also have a unique marking on their face. It is much like the markings on rabbit taguel, which signify the placement of their whiskers upon transformation. This marking is similar to the mark that shows up at the beak and head area it is connected to when they transform.These taguel are also unique in the fact that they do not have outer shells in the area of their ears like humans. Instead they are flat areas covered in feathers to protect the opening. These feathers layer down into the feathers that go down the neck. Those with shorter hair show this trait more visibly, while those with longer hair can easily hide it without thinking about it. Bird taguel have excellent hearing, but it is still second to their fantastic eyesight.  Their hear is not as powerful as the rabbits.Since these taguel have wings and tail, they prefer flowing clothing with minimal, light leather armor to dress themselves. Most commonly they will favor a halter top-like leather piece of armor around the chest area, and then have wraps that tie behind the back, just above the tail. It is also common to have wraps that also go under the tail, simulating a skirt or dress. Having loose clothing like this still leaves room for their wings and tails to be used freely. Many also favor wearing foot wraps or go bare foot, though it is said that the leather wraps protect their feet better upon landing in humanoid form.Their clothing, much like the rabbits, is made to somewhat transform with them. Though, it is only the leather sections of armor that appear in their transformed states, so the birds have a chest guard and foot wraps.I thank you greatly if you read all this.
