It’s been around a year I started to take photos with an analogue point and shoot camera. I chose this over the digital one because I started to notice I take so many pictures, because I can, a lot of versions of a scenery, a lot of trash pictures too, just to store information of a map or a phone number and these started to mix, I could hardly find the important moments in the abundance of unnecessary shots. So I wanted to choose a different tool to make memories with, to have a special collection of the shots that matter. It’s more difficult to handle this camera and I can’t waste film to try re-shooting something numerous times, but this somehow represents the moment that we live in, once it’s there the next second it’s gone and if you messed up the picture, then that’s it, you can’t get back that moment, just like life. I don’t mean to become a poet here, I guess I just want to kindly encourage others too - if you like the idea, or if you don’t do this already - to take less pictures, less but more important and special ones. I think it’s a lot of fun and sort of magical. (: -- source link
