Could he use knowledge gained through study of clone art to strike at the hidden weaknesses of rebellious clones?…Makes me wonder how many of Thrawn’s men are actually clone troopers under their Stormtrooper armour. We know Thrawn struggles with being non-Human in a society idolising Human High Culture; clone troopers were bred by non-Humans and worked primarily for non-Human Jedi Generals. Maybe Thrawn appreciates the clones’ complete disregard for species and reassigned as many of them as possible to senior positions on his ship.
