Entrance to Old Medical College of Virginia Hospital (now a part of Virginia Commonwealth University), Richmond, 2014. The demonstration in front of the state capitol by gun fanatics and others on the radical fringes of the lunatic right did not result in violence, for which we must be thankful. If it had, the emergency room of the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, in a new building adjacent to the one shown, would have been the primary source of first responders.
