cannibalistic-companion:Being black has always been hard for me, especially when I was (and still am) barraged by attacks from other people in the black community. Everyone told me I “wasn’t black” just because I have a lighter skin tone. Just because I didn’t “act black.” Because I “talked white.” This needs to stop.I do not act black because it is impossible to act a race or a color. It is IMPOSSIBLE to act an ethnicity. Stop using this term, and stop belittling others for not acting or looking like their stereotyped race. Everyone is different; stop making the stereotype norm the only qualification. There ARE no qualifications to be black other than being black. Same goes for any race. Please stop forcing your ignorant views onto others and making them feel bad. I am black, and I am proud of who I am. Everyone should be. -- source link
