It’s undated, but if I had to guess: 1980s.Though Donald, Daisy, and Huey, Dewey, and Louie aren’t Barks creations, he gave them such a different spin in his stories that there are basically two distinct versions of them now: the cartoon characters, and the characters from the comics. -- source link
