We’re settling into things, but with Mars the idea of “settling in” might simply be that, only an idea. This week Mercury is sliding opposite Retro Mars and it highlights the fact that so many of us are angry about the collective situation that we find ourselves in. There’s great temptation to voice that anger, and many will take the bait. Expect to see eruptions of that resentment and steel yourself to those being reactionary for the sake of it. Mercury acts as a catalyst to having the conversations that have been swept under the rug for the sake of ‘civility’. It’s likely that with such a tense formation these conversations will simply be antagonistic, without care being given to forethought or execution...There is a workaround this week, however, and my challenge to you all is to choose this despite the immediate allure of “popping off”. The Sun is moving into aspect with Jupiter completing the Grand Water Trine with Neptune that’s been activated in the past weeks by Mercury and Venus. The Sun is about self-expression, creativity, ideas, inspiration… In what ways can your unique light shine for others and serve as a call to action? Choosing to be Solar in lieu of Mercurial may be a way in which you can channel your fury to greatest benefit. With a helping hand from Jupiter this self-expression is likely to be favored and have a greater impact than the immediacy that Mercury craves. The water signs are ‘mute’, and while they may be incapable of VERBALLY communicating the emotional richness that they indicate, they are more than capable of communicating a feeling. Siphon the frustration of this tense Merc/Mars aspect to say more than is actually possible to say. Let your Art be your Weapon. Use it to take aim at injustice, cruelty, and inhumanity.
