i1976blunotte:I felt the impulse of drawing Jadeite with one of the Senshi, beside Rei, a friendship’s scene.I chose Makoto because I think that they could have many things in common: Makoto is the “mommy” and the confidant of the group, always making people at ease around her (cooking for everybody and using her home as a “shelter”). Since Jadeite is the Knight of Harmony, I think he has the role of confidant of the group, the one who makes people at ease around him. I think that he could like helping Makoto with cooking.Besides, both Makoto and Jadeite have to deal with someone as Rei and Nephrite: both Rei and Nephrite are intense, sharp tongued, possessive and over-protective (I think that Rei and Nephrite could be friend, as Minako with Zoisite and Ami with Kunzite). I can’t help but laughing at the thought of Makoto and Jadeite talking about Nephrite nearly killing Asanouma or Rei nearly burning to crisp any girl who have their eyes on Jadeite; or Rei scolding Jadeite while Nephrite laughs at him and Makoto pats her hand on Jadeite’s head as a mommy.Moreover, in my headcanon, Jadeite has no family and lived in an orphanage, so Makoto and her “mommy” attitude is perfect for him.NEW HEADCANON: Jadeite too was born on December 5th, as Makoto (but he is 4 years older), so they share the same birthday.So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MAKOTO AND JADEITE!Hope you liked the art (just a quick sketch) and my thoughts! -- source link
