wind-whistler:thenewgraymare:wind-whistler:poor molasses - i did buy her as a bait, missing her tail and all, but even though i planned on rehairing her from the start it breaks my heart to know that those factory curls aren’t salvageable. they’re gross and tangled and 3: i cryThey are salvageable! It will take some careful work, but you can brush them out, condition, and flat iron them before recurling. It won’t be factory, but you don’t have to rehair.friend, i appreciate the help but you haven’t touched this hair - it would be a disservice to this sweet pony to let her life her life with this horror of a mane when she’ll get a shiny new tail. i have treated many a pony in my day, including ones with hair so horrendous it was one thick solid mat. she came out with beautiful corkscrews in the end, but molasses… naaahAh! Sorry to interrupt, But you mentioned you’ve dealt with bad mat before. Any just basic advice for that for a G1? I heard a straigtener might help but I want to be sure before I hurt the poor girl. (Her hair isn’t matted ringlets. just frizzy mat on a Bonnie Bonnets)also, please let us see Molasses again when you’ve rehaired her! :D I love seeing before and after shots. and old ponies made pretty rather than made into customs does my heart a lot of good <3 -- source link
