heezye:dwarvensteel:destinyrush:Also they used a picture that makes him look somewhat positive. It’s ridiculous how far media will go to protect white male privilege.I think the use of the word women with the word teen also implies like she was dating someone she shouldn’t have been, like if a teacher was dating a student for example, which is not the case. Also just looking at the tweet Teen admits (to, good job CBS) killing woman who broke up with him, police say. The last two words are the source of the information and the second half of the sentence is the justification for the crime, and they used killing, which is probably the most positive way to describe it, they didn’t say murdering, kidnapping (which he did), shooting, or gunning down for that matter, and they also didn’t say that he dump the body, which they easily could have fit in the tweet. Again killing is the most positive word that could likely be used and then they spend almost half of the tweet talking about his justifications instead of the crime.Great analysis -- source link
