barricadesandfeathers:missclearwater:iamrebornthruhim:Is is one of those episodes that was so important to the show. Not because it was major plot device but because it was an episode that, for the most part, was random yet hit every viewer right in the heart. Why did no one remember her?Does this episode show what humans are capable of or does this show a side of the doctor never witnessed before? What scared groups of people are capable of really terrifies me.This is one of the few episodes I flatly REFUSE to watch twice over because it scares the hell out of me.(I’m terrified of the Vashta Nerada but that is a different brand of scary and I’ll watch those again.)It also makes me ashamed to be human.Well, that’s harsh! But yes, this episode was absolutely terrifying and thought-provoking and all-around stunning. I love that it’s one of the few episodes where you never get a clear answer as to what the monster is. I mean, you never see the Vashta Nerada, but you get a name and a description. The Midnight entity is totally unknown. One of the absolute best Doctor Who episodes I’ve seen so far. It must have been really challenging to act, too, so HUGE round of applause for the cast! -- source link
