ozymandias271:wackyshenanigans:sad-queer:Building an Abolitionist Trans & Queer Movement with Everything We’ve Gotfrom Captive Genders (eds. Stanley and Smith) (2011) by Morgan Bassichis, Alex Lee, and Dean Spade. With the exception of the military one, both columns are good and non-dontradictory though?I feel like the first column is short-term goals and tactics and the second is long term goals and tactics. Also a lot of the ones in the second column don’t really seem to be… queer issues? I mean I support abolishing inheritance, ending the military-industrial complex, immigration reform, and universal healthcare, but I don’t think those things would necessarily help lgbtqa people more than they’d help straight cis allosexuals. It seems to me there’s a role for activism about issues that specifically relate to lgbtqa people only, such as same-sex marriage and adoption discrimination. -- source link
