You might be wondering, “What is #GivingTuesday?" Today, we celebrate a global day to come together and give. This Giving Tuesday, as we celebrate generosity, we hope you’ll consider giving a gift to the Brooklyn Museum’s Annual Fund. We are so proud to be Brooklyn’s museum. And we have been lucky enough to open our doors for well over one million people throughout our many years of hosting Target First Saturdays plus, we welcomed more than 15,000 school children to our Museum and had more than 55,000 participants in our public programs in the last year alone! Our visitors have reveled in exhibitions like #CrossingBrooklyn, taken part in hands-on art making activities, and enjoyed live performances. It’s because of our Members and donors that we are able to open our doors and give these experiences to so many. On this day dedicated to giving back, please choose to support us, the Brooklyn Museum. Enough from me, hear more reasons to give, straight from our Members to you! “Born and raised in Brooklyn, I felt it was my duty to support what I feel is the best Museum in the country.” – Verna S., Member since 1997.“…I am supporting a cultural institution with a mission that includes reflecting its immediate community.” – Ekene O., Member since 2011.“I felt and continue to feel as if I learn something new each and every time I walk through the Museum doors.” – Dominique and Mustafa C., Members since 2009.Posted by Brooke Affleck -- source link
