Unlike other weapons used for covert operations, it does not use a suppressor but is instead built around a silent round loosely based on the 7,62x33mm intermediate cartridge, which features an elongated case and an internal telescopic piston that transfers the energy of the propellant to the bullet without leaking any gas outside of the case.
