“Christmas is always lively, everywhere it’s filled with decorations. The TV plays caroling songs, everyone is in a lively atmosphere. I managed to stay in Japan without a single visit to Korea and so I was alone at home with nothing to do. Due to my lack of popularity in Japan, I wasn’t so busy at the time. During that time I thought, people who are showing a very happy side, do they not have sorrow and pain? I took these thoughts and put them into lyrics. At the same moment I questioned myself, ‘what am I doing?’ I was a bit depressed. Even so, I managed to express the emotions I went through into the lyrics of Moon & Sunrise.
