The body of the artist as art work. Into me / Out of me represents a search for traces through performance art since the 1960s. At that time, many artists began using their own bodies as the subject and object of their artistic endeavours, often entailing radical acts that pushed the limits of physicality and tastefulness.Into me / Out of me, supported by Dornbracht Culture Projects, came about through cooperation with P.S.1 Contemporary Art Centre and the KW Institute for Contemporary Art.
