fat-birds:memeking2k15:Hey! So I know this is probably a long shot, but I also know a lot of people have managed to raise money for their pets on tumblr.This is Minos. She’s a cockatiel and she’s going to be 5 months old at the end of April. The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a battle for her, having managed to get a pretty dangerous bird flu that was going around my town. When I brought her in, the Vet didn’t think she’d last very long, but she’s just managed to pull through.Since I had gotten her she had a ruptured air sac which, recently, has become huge. (See her right shoulder). At the moment she can’t really use that wing, and it’s causing her to arch her back. From what the Vet told me, the only real way to fix the problem and stop her being so uncomfortable (and possibly passing) is surgery. At the moment I have no idea how much it’s going to cost, only that from what the Vet said, it’s going to be a whole lot of money. We’ve had a few pets sick the past couple of months, my other bird breaking a joint in his wing, and my dog having multiple surgeries to have lumps removed, and having to pay for their surgeries, we don’t really have enough money for Minos.Again, I know this is a long shot. But if anyone could donate even a couple of dollars, it would really help out. There’s no guarantee that she’d make it through the surgery, but I’d sure as hell like to try and at least get her to that stage.I’m not entirely sure how the whole donation thing goes, so I’m just going to throw the email to my PayPal on here.
