Ingram Model 6/ Model 7Manufactured in the later half of the 1940’s, the Ingram model 6 was designed to be an economical alternative to the Thompson Submachine Gun for use by police. It fired from a blowback operated open bolt. Select fire was operated via the trigger, a long trigger pull fired it in fully automatic, and short trigger pull fired it in semi-automatic. They were chambered for 9mm para, .38 super, and .45 ACP.While a few police departments bought the firearm, most of Ingram’s business would come from foreign militaries. About 15,000-20,000 would be made for the Cuban Navy and Peruvian Army, as well as some police departments. -- source link
