Sintrax coffee maker, 1930/31. Schott, Germany. Via Collection SoehlkeContrary to an often used description, the first device was not developed by the Bauhaus teacher Gerhard Marcks, but had been an in-house design by an unknown employee of Jena glassworks. It was first presented at the Leipziger Messe in 1926. The name Sintrax - a word creation from the terms of sintering and extracting - was registered as a trademark the same year. -- source link
