gffa:HERE’S A DETAIL THAT TOOK ME AWHILE TO NOTICE and I’m not sure if it’s intentional or the game just backed itself into a corner and had to handwave their way out:We have seen in multiple instances (mostly comics) that Vader’s suit is waterproof and he’s fought giant squid-monsters underwater before, as well as Fortress Inquisitorius was specifically built on the ocean floor so it could be flooded if a prisoner tried to escape. Plus, honestly, half of Vader’s feats of derring-do are because he’s secretly kind of hoping they’ll kill him and he’ll finally be put out of his misery. So why doesn’t he go after Cere and Cal? Possibly because of what we saw a few minutes earlier, where BD-1 delivers a shock to Vader’s suit, possibly damaging it enough that it wouldn’t survive the water (WE SEE MACHINES ARE PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF SURVIVING THE WATER, BD-1 HAS BEEN SWIMMING WITH CAL FOR HOURS IN THIS GAME AND IS IN THIS SCENE AGAIN) and so instead he has to hold back the entire goddamned ocean just about instead, because his torn open suit, even just a little, wouldn’t work in it anymore.Because otherwise, honestly, Vader absolutely would have gone after them or would have at least Force-yanked them right back to drown while he sat in his stupid suit and watched them.I HOPE YOUR HELMET WAS BLARING WARNING KLAXONS ABOUT SUIT INTEGRITY BEING COMPROMISED THE ENTIRE TIME, ANAKIN. IT’D SERVE YOU RIGHT. -- source link
