Portrait of a Russian Girl (1750s). Pietro Antonio Rotari (Italian, 1707-1762). Oil on canvas.During his stay in Vienna, Rotari was exposed to the work of Jean-Etienne Liotard, whose porcelain-like portrait style would influence his work for the rest of his career. This influence can be seen in the portrait of a Russian girl in a blue dress and headdress which he executed in Russia where he was employed as court painter to Empress Elizabeth I. -- source link
