Probable route of the ten people convicted of Witchcraft in 1612 from The Forest of Pendle to Lancas
Probable route of the ten people convicted of Witchcraft in 1612 from The Forest of Pendle to Lancaster Castle in 1612. The route passes through the Forest of Bowland (a forest in name only; it is mainly moorland and now known as the Trough of Bowland) and the road passes by a viewing post across Lancashire. The ten people who took this route were subsequently trialled and executed that year. Lomography stills, 17.8.15. -- source link
