I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. If Kara had been like “why is it girl and not person” than yah, I’d be down for that, but Kara’s point is “why do I have to be SuperGIRL when my cousin is SuperMAN?” She’s not saying girls are lesser than boys, she is pointing out that her achievements are being infantilized. It’s not the female part she is taking exception to, it is the youth part. And in this instance, if the choice is between “girl” and “woman” Callista Flockhart is a woman. -- source link
