“… take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?” Siobhan blinked and looked around. The strange man stood in front of her was holding her hands and smiling and she, apparently was also smiling, although that quickly faded. “Where am I? What’s going on? Who are you?” she asked, quiet at first but then louder as the fear kicked in. Was this some sort of strange dream? Her apparent fiance looked out to the crowd at a man towards the back. With an acknowldging nod, the man pulled something out of his pocket and pressed a button labelled ‘remote control’. She heard an odd chime in her skull before her thoughts fell silent. Siobhan’s eyes suddenly regained their glassy expression as the man at the back whispered into the device 'Sorry. I do’. A moment later, the words also came from Siobhan’s lips. The congregation looked around at each other chuckling before the ceremony continued without further pause, noting how completely relaxed the bride looked. -- source link
