Natalie“When I was pregnant a wise friend told me breastfeeding is something you have to learn. I took her advice to become educated and read as much as I could about breastfeeding. I had a lot of support from my partner, midwife and nurses in hospital which helped me to feel really confident from the start. I was always determined to breastfeed, and for me and my baby it came really easily. My goal has been to breastfeed until my baby’s first birthday, but now that date is approaching I can’t imagine stopping anytime soon. I remember while I was pregnant thinking that I will feed my baby anywhere, anytime- which I’m proud to say I have. Knowing I’m doing the most natural thing my body was designed to do helps me feel empowered when feeding in public. I feel really strongly about all mothers feeling confident to feed their babies wherever they need to. I hope that each act of feeding in public helps to normalise breastfeeding in our society. Just remind yourself ‘if it makes someone uncomfortable that’s their problem’.” -- source link
