rebel-without-a-cunt:radremedy:CHECK OUT RAD — A new interactive database dedicated to finding care providers for trans, gender non-conforming, intersex, and queer folks! We’re currently beta-testing this, and so not all of our providers will be in this database yet, but we’re off to a great start with nearly 1500 providers nationwide! Anyone can search for a provider by name, location, or service category. In its current launch, RAD has a wide variety of care providers included, from medical care, housing, and legal services to yoga and massage. You can also leave provider reviews, which is the best way to help others in their own search for care. To do this, set up a free account that is super quick and easy, and it doesn’t require too much information. We are also looking for volunteers to help get providers into the database faster, so that more folks can find good care. Thus far, RAD Remedy has strategically prioritized outreach efforts and the data entry of providers in rural and under-resourced areas of the country, where adding even one provider can make a significant difference. “RAD’s goal is not to impose upon folks what we feel affirming care looks like, but to connect folks to as much relevant information as possible so that each of us can make the best decision for our own care and feel comfortable and confident walking into the office of a new care provider.” says Riley Johnson (Executive Director).Click here to learn more or find your remedy at radremedy.orgYOOk so as you all know by now, I’m a volunteer operator for translifeline and a big part of what we do is help connect folks with the resources they need. This site, radremedy.org, is a good one stop shop for finding trans supportive therapists and clinicians in your area, with options to specify results that are providers who operate on informed consent or work in buildings accessible to those with disabilities. Unfortunately, the site only cover the US, as I have found when dealing with callers from Canada. That being said, if y'all are interested give the site a look and also spread this around for any of your trans friends who might need help locating resources! -- source link
