SO ARE THOSE INNOCENTS GETTING OUT!? GETTING THEIR LIVES BACK!? 40,000!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW DESTRUCTIVE SHE’S BEEN?!?? THAT’S NOT just 40,000 lives, we’re talking the families, the communities and more of the 40,000 affected by this crime! she should spend the rest of her life in jail!!Joyce Gilchrist was a former forensic chemist who had participated in over 3,000 criminal cases in 21 years while working for the Oklahoma City police department,[2] and who was accused of falsifying evidence.[3][4] Her evidence led in part to 23 people being sentenced to death, 11 of whom have been executed.[3] Wowwwwshe deserves life in prison. i hope she rots in hellSOLE BAD ACTOR MY ASSShe’s the fall guy. She was far from the mastermind of this. She’s a lowly mook in the chain of command. Someone above her is ultimately responsible. Can’t she have been acting mainly on her own? How many people does a forensic chemist ever have checking their work?Bit of trivia: “Dookhan” (Dukhan) is a Qatari name. You know, Qatar, that country still digging heavily into slavery. I say this as a hint to possible motive, and not to insinuate something about all Qataris. As for racism at the sentencing level, does America really have a problem with being too forgiving of Middle Easterners?Anything is possible, but to get away with so many for so long by oneself is highly unlikely. It would be terrible negligence for someone else not to check her work. That means that the system is wide open for more people like her to flourish in the shadows.BTW I am not sure where Dukhan came into this conversation, she’s a separate person from Gilchrist, but the fact that we now have TWO of these people falsifying evidence to secure convictions suggests it’s not a fluke, or a single person planning this. And Qatar is known for slavery, but how would this benefit Dukhan? She wouldn’t be getting any kickbacks. If her agenda was to imprison blacks then Qatar doesn’t benefit. Not sure if Americans are forgiving of Middle Easterners with regards to sentencing, but they sure do sentence black people far longer than whites for the same crime. And they convict blacks more readily, too.>That means that the system is wide open for more people like her to flourish in the shadowsThat I can believe very easily. :^\Dookhan came into the conversation where the original post was about Dookhan, not Gilchrist. No, I’m not suggesting she was a state agent for Qatar or anything like that. I’m suggesting that the values of that culture may have impressed upon her psyche, and that, when it benefitted her professionally to “boost” her job performance, she had a head-start in seeing some people as worth less than others. Either that or she’s a psychopath. -- source link
