blackbrownuniverse:We all have a story and that’s not normal! Use your voice! Use your platform! I was up till about 2am educating my parents about the things sars has done. My brother and I told them our experiences with sars and they were shocked. In my experience, sars stopped my car as I was being driven ready to take the driver to the ATM to collect money from him thinking he was a yahoo boy. They then separated us and started questioning us about how I could afford such a car. The driver said he was just a driver taking me somewhere. I said my father bought it for me. Next thing they started shouting at me and asking me who my father is. I said if I tell you his name would you know him? They started shouting at me and calling me names. They asked for my occupation. I said I’m a lawyer and they calmed down. This was in 2018. Till today they harass people daily because of their appearances and their possessions. Whenever I see police men gathered when I’m driving alone in Nigeria I honestly feel a sense of dread come over me because I remember my experience with them. REFORM MUST COME!! WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO FEEL SAFE! These are people who are entrusted with our safety. We are fighting for our safety and for our lives. – @titilola_ -- source link
