intelligentman4bimbogirls:the-fit-amy:To my fellow ladies… On doubting and comparing yourselfThis is really reassuring. I mean look at her, she looks all perfect but when you look at her face you can see that she is doubting and comparing herself. In the past I did the same but as I started doing more and more sports my body started to look better and I improved my posture. At one point it became normal for me to think, that I was the sexiest girl around (and at least at most places I probably was). And then I came here…You know, the truth is, yes, maybe I was the hottest girl around but this is not my true “competition”. The girls around are not what I’m really compared with. Coming here showed me what every man looks at. Girls, maybe you are cute and have a nice body, but look around here on tumblr to see what you will be compared to. You might be all pretty and get a lot of compliments (I’ve been there), but they are just as honest as that guy thinking of Sophie Mudd while saying them. And seeing Veronica here doing the very same, being doubtful and comparing, it’s just very reassuring…Which brings me to the next bit: This is not a bad thing. You know, it is also true, that as I was thinking that I was “Ms Sexy” I was sometimes a little bitchy and arrogant. Coming here has showed me that while I might be above average (esp. compared to the people around me), I’m hardly close to perfect and there are so many things that could be better about myself. Again, this is not a bad thing, how else can we improve, right? So girls, look around, compare yourself, and embrace your doubts. Maybe you could be a little slimmer, or your butt be a little more toned. Know your area to work on and improve. If you look on tumblr you see that other girls have done it, so you can too!Go on, compare yourself. The guys are doing it already…p.s.: And next time you get a compliment, do give it a thought who he might be comparing you withThere is so much good about this post and a lot of good advice girls should take away. Girls, I’m about to use a metaphor here, so if you don’t understand what I say next, ask a nearby man to explain it. It’s about sports, he’ll understand. Looking good is a lot like golf. Some people will beat their friends and think that’s good enough. But really, you’re not playing the people you’re with, you’re playing yourself. Did you do better than you did last time? Are you improving? If the answer is no, then there’s work to do, no matter how many friends of yours you beat. And just because you beat your friends doesn’t mean the club pro isn’t looking at you and laughing at how bad you are. -- source link
