OH WELL!The prompt is Cruel, and this is sort of a Queen of the Underworld, obviously I had Persephone in mind because of the pomegranates and asphodel… but Persophone isn’t really CRUEL per se, just a cthonic deity that’s a force to be reckoned with… I really just wanted an excuse to draw Persephone, really.In the DC universe Hades was at one point (still is? not sure?) a child with a crown of melting candles, but that actually wasn’t where I got the idea from: I was thinking more like the Swedish Saint Lucia and the candle crown. -- source link
