The Korovin Auto Pistol,One of the few pocket pistols of Russian make, the Korovin was a .25acp striker fire blowback pistol produced at the Tula Arms Factory.  It also has the distinction of being the first Soviet produced automatic pistol. The Korovin was not issued to the military, but classified as a civilian weapon.  Despite this classification, the Korovin was not available to the proletariat of Soviet society.  Rather the Korovin was made as an easy to conceal pistol for politicians, dignitaries, diplomats, and NKVD agents. Another interesting feature of the Korovin was that it was manufactured with an exceptionally strong chamber, slide, and frame allowing it to use a special .25acp cartridge that produced 20%-25% more muzzle energy and penetration.
