gloriadawn: Gloria Dawn, photography by Ron Vogel. Then, in the middle of the strip tease, Ron had me sit down and read a magazine. Actually, what probably occurred was that Ron had to reload his camera, and while waiting for shooting to resume, I began reading the magazine lying nearby. I can still hear my mother’s voice in my ear saying: “She always has her head in a book.” Which was true, ever since I was about seven, and is still true today. I sit down and immediately start reading. (I have several, plus an iPad, next to my bed, and upon walking into a doctor’s/dentist’s office, I instantly pick up a magazine.) What I believe happened was that Ron changed his film and then snapped a couple of unplanned pictures. He liked to take a few spontaneous photos during a session.
