tgirlnextdoor: When I was 16, whenever my parents were not home, I raced to the bathroom to practice applying makeup. As soon as I got a little eyeliner and shadow on, butterflies filled my tummy and I felt light and free and girly. For some reason, when I saw myself turn into a girl in the mirror with the makeup, I felt older and more mature….like I was ready to be on a date with an older man, instead of being a 16 year old boy.
