Kiss Me DeeplyMy backstory for this is that Nicklaus just got home from an insanely long and stressful work shift at the hospital. Yeah, he loves what he does, but, even when you become an attending, ‘cardiac surgeon’ still has an absolutely grueling schedule, and he can play the consummate professional at work and still have Bad Days. Nothing like almost 36 hours on your feet in the OR because things were disastrously complicated to begin with, and new complications kept popping up, and it all worked out in the end, but that’s still 36 stressful, exhausting hours.Problem is, as good as he is at hiding it at work, Nicklaus is a pretty high-strung, anxious kind of guy. Hubby’s got his back, though, because after this, he’s barely going to be able to think straight, much less worry about work, and not because of blood loss (it’s gonna be from the massive hit of endorphins that comes with being bitten, and bitten that hard, stacked up three times), Maurice isn’t taking that much, now go to bed and sleep for like 18 hours, dear, you need it.Did Maurice need to bite him three times? Maybe. Nicklaus heals fast, those bruises will be gone in like 5 minutes, so, well before he wakes up, don’t worry about it, totally worth it, regardless. -- source link
