xxxdragonfucker69xxx:goldhornsandsteel:westsemiteblues:intergalactic-ashkenazi:thatswhatkentsaid:Is this a bad goy tattoo or am I bad Jew and don’t know what this means? Help me out jumblrTHIS IS AN EXTREMELY BAD GOY TATTOO I’M SO MOTHERFUCKING PISSED AT THIS ACTUALLYThe triangle on the left (I don’t know what the right is but w/e) is. Actually the worst. Yud-hay-vav-hay (the letters at the bottom of the triangle) is the tetragrammaton, which is a fancy way of saying “The name of g-d.” That shit is POWERFUL and should not be written down willy nilly, especially on some fuckin goy who thought it would be fun to do some kind of abracadabra shit on itSee, the reason the Hebrews were told not to take G-d’s name in vain is because it has essentially INFINITE MAGICAL POWER. You can seriously fuck shit up throwing that name around. Which is why in most prayerbooks shorten it to yud-yud, or use words like Adonai or HaShem (literally “the name”) instead. And even THEN that shit can’t just get lost, when you’re done using it it goes in genizah (a special/sacred burial for texts that contian the name of G-d). Some goy just putting it on their fucking arm like it’s nothing is offensive as SHIT.Edit: I said this in the tags but I want it here also, obviously I don’t know if this person is Jewish or not. It’s less offensive if they are but it’s still…. Ill-advised. But if they’re not Jewish, and judging by the refference to the tattoos as “symbol work” I would guess they’re not, it’s really awful. It’s a tetractys. It’s got an elaborate significance in goyische ‘Kabbalah’. This is, um, on SO many levels not a good idea.I’m offended and I’m a shellfish-eating, gentile-marrying atheist heathen. And if im not mistaken that other arm is none other than a seal of Satan -- source link
